One Hero Limit to be Released for Competitive Play, Zenyatta and D.Va Buffs

It's an idea that Blizzard toyed with in the past, and received a lot of debate from both sides on the merits.

It means no five man Torbs or triple Winston teams, and also no twelve man Tracers on control maps. However, it also means that if you want to play your favorite hero and someone's already picked it, then you're out of luck.

Meanwhile, Blizzard also announced a few upcoming buffs to Zenyatta and D.Va in a recent interview. Check out the details below!

Introduction

It's an idea that Blizzard toyed with in the past, and received a lot of debate from both sides on the merits.

It means no five man Torbs or triple Winston teams, and also no twelve man Tracers on control maps. However, it also means that if you want to play your favorite hero and someone's already picked it, then you're out of luck.

Meanwhile, Blizzard also announced a few upcoming buffs to Zenyatta and D.Va in a recent interview. Check out the details below!

Details

  • The one hero limit will be for competitive play only and will not impact quick play at all.
  • Sudden Death is being removed and ties are being implemented, but there will be rewards so it will not feel like time is wasted.
  • Zenyatta's shield is going up and he will move faster when he uses his ultimate.
  • D.Va's defense field is going to be a toggle spell that has a meter that runs.
  • Ana (the new hero) will be a healing sniper that simultaneously help allies and hurt opponents
