Hollywood Map Tier List - Best Hero Rankings - July 2016 Edition

Hollywood is a map of incredibly annoying platforms in the first area, which results in potentially four Torbjorns, a healer, and a tank on defense. The Torbjorn turrets get an extremely line of sight from terrain, and one on the top with one on the moving platform results in an almost impossible to approach control point.

The escort portion of the map is much more balanced, and often results in all-out melee inside the buildings as flankers duke it out.

SEASON 1 - JUNE 30TH PATCH TIER LIST
Hollywood Hybrid Map

Introduction

Hollywood is a map of incredibly annoying platforms in the first area, which results in potentially four Torbjorns, a healer, and a tank on defense. The Torbjorn turrets get an extremely line of sight from terrain, and one on the top with one on the moving platform results in an almost impossible to approach control point.

The escort portion of the map is much more balanced, and often results in all-out melee inside the buildings as flankers duke it out.

General Tips

  1. If the defense ends up getting set up too well inside the corners, try and enter from the back area in a group using Winston and/or Reinhardt to block shots while Pharah takes out the turrets from afar.
  2. If the enemy team has a Symmetra or Junkrat, avoid trying to enter through the building on the right, as that will likely be covered in traps.
  3. While escorting the payload, there are many areas where a good Pharah or McCree ult can absolutely devastate the entire attacking team. As a result, when you reach certain chokepoints on offense, be sure to peel off the payload and just leave your tanks to move it along.

Explanations

Widowmaker [Tier 2] -
If there is a Torb set up that is too well defended to take out via Pharah rockets, Widowmaker may be used to quickly snipe them out. However, she is generally not that good on this map after her nerfs unless you are very good at her.

Tracer [Tier 1] - Tracer is much better in the escort phase of the map for quickly flanking and wrecking havoc through the buildings. She may also work during the first part of the game if you can avoid getting focused down too quickly.

Explanations

Torbjorn [God Tier] -
As mentioned before, the platform just above the moving platform is an excellent spot to put the turret, as is the moving platform itself. If you don't have anyone defending the small room entrance, Torb also works well there as well. If Genji, Pharah or Widowmaker start taking down your turrets too quickly, just move it closer to the entrance where the wall coverage will prevent them from getting a clear shot.

Widowmaker [Tier 1] - Similar to Torb, this map also offers Widowmaker excellent line of sight for sniping out enemies from very far distances. In this regard to beats out Hanzo by a long shot during the control point phase, but Hanzo does somewhat better once you hit the escort phase.
